What Will Your Legacy Be? -
The greatest benefit of my career has been meeting people who are passionate, committed and willing to work to make things happen. This page is updated regularly with information about the people and projects that have impressed me--I am not compensated for these 'endorsements.'

THE EXTRAORDINARY PROJECT
Chris Mullally is just an ordinary man trying to do something extraordinary. When he heard that up to 600,000 children could die from starvation in Somalia, he said the same thing that almost everyone says today – “Wow – that’s really terrible but what can I do about it.” Within 3 days of learning about this problem it occurred to him that he could do something if he would just make the time in his life to try to do something. So he and his wife launched the Extraordinary Project with the goal of raising 1 million dollars to try to do something about it.
Extraordinary Project is a nonprofit and is being fully funded by Chris and his wife. 100% of donations, less whatever credit card or Paypal fees are deducted go directly to the goal. There are no other administrative fees. CAN YOU GIVE ONE DOLLAR? www.extraordinaryproject.com

GIVING WHAT WE CAN
is an incredible organization which is the manifestation of 'Regular People Becoming Philanthropists!" It is an international society dedicated to eliminating poverty in the developing world. Their members come from many different walks of life, but are united in the belief that global poverty is one of the most important problems in the world today, and in the desire to do something about it. They see that their comparative wealth can prevent a significant amount of suffering if only they allow it to do so, and thus each member has taken the Pledge to Give: "I will give at least 10% of my income to wherever I think it will do the most to relieve suffering in the developing world.www.givingwhatwecan.com

NETWORK FOR GOOD
Imagine what the world would be like if every time you were inspired to help someone or something, you could -- with just a few clicks of a mouse, anywhere online. That’s the mission of Network for Good.  We make it as easy to donate and volunteer online as it is to shop online, and we make it simple and affordable for all nonprofits, of any size, to recruit donors and volunteers via the Internet.

GOOD
In a world where things too often don’t work, GOOD seeks a path that does. Left, right. In, out. Greed, altruism. Us, them. These are the defaults and they are broken. We are the alternative model. We are the reasonable people who give a damn. No dogma. No party lines. No borders. We care about what works--what is sustainable, prosperous, productive, creative, and just--for all of us and each of us. This isn’t easy, but we are not afraid to fail. We’ll figure it out as we go.
Call it a new party, call it a 21st century collaboration, call it an army, call it your new home. Or just call it GOOD.
We are people, businesses, moms, kids, artists, organizations, policymakers, students, teachers, and engineers. All united in one simple idea, each elevated by being connected. www.good.is

ROCKETS INTO ROSES
Israeli metul sculptor Yaron Bob has literally transformed instruments of death, weapons of war, into objects of great beauty and meaning, representing love, growth and great hope for a peaceful future. From actual Qassam rockets that exploded in Israel he shapes beautiful Rose sculptures, candlesticks, menorahs, necklaces and other items. And at the same time, this project helps to protect the citizens of Israel from future rocket attacks by providing much needed above-ground portable shelters--a portion of all proceeds supports the shelters. www.rocketsintoroses.com

GOOD PEOPLE FUND
Many people work quietly and diligently, often below the radar screen and with shoe-string budgets, to better our world in untold numbers of ways. It is to these people, small entities or individuals whose efforts don’t benefit from glossy brochures or promotions, or help from adequate staff or large organizational structures, that we direct our attention. Their success is our mission — by making them and their work visible and viable to others who will provide needed funding through tzedakah that is given in a cost-effective and meaningful way. One might call those that do this work social entrepreneurs or tzadikim (the righteous ones). We choose to call them simply good people.www.goodpeoplefund.org

TINOGONA....IT IS ACHIEVABLE!
Tererai grew up in a remote village in Zimbabwe and always had a desire to learn, but was unable to pursue an education. At 11 years old, Tererai found herself married and soon after the mother of 5. A volunteer from Heffer Interational told her she could set an intention and achieve her dreams. She did.
With help from the people of her village, Tererai made her way to the US in 1998, and just 3 years later she received her BS in Agricultural Education. Today, Tererai holds both an MA and PhD.Terarai never forgot about the people who helped her along the way and her new dream was to re-build the Matau Primary School in her home village in Zimbabwe.
Tererai designed t-shirts with the slogan 'Tinogona...It Is Achievable!' to help raise $ for the children in her village and re-build the school. DO SOMETHING TO HELP HER...JUST BUY A T-SHIRT. www.tinogona.com

DINING FOR WOMEN
Dining for Women is a dinner giving circle. Women "dine in" together once a month, each bringing a dish to share, and the "dining out" dollars (that would have spent if eating at a restaurant) are sent to programs empowering women worldwide. All donations from hundreds of chapters are combined to support one carefully selected international program a month. They fund grass-roots programs in education, healthcare, vocational training, micro-credit loans and economic development. These programs are aimed to improve the living situations for women and their families, by providing the tools they need to make changes. Wow, tons of regular women all working together as philanthropists!

2.    Video length 3:05....IT WILL CHANGE SOMEONE'S LIFE.

Started by a Mount Holyoke College student who was there when the earthquake hit. Instead of going home, she went to Port Au Prince to do anything she could. She saw the resilience of the children and is going to give them a school to help them grow and lead their own country. ALL SHE NEEDS IS $15,000 to buy the land, put up 2 modular classrooms, and pay teachers. What better impact can your charitable contribution have? What did you do when you were in college?
